Shetland Arts head of development, Kathy Hubbard, discusses her ‘madcap’ Olympic film festival – The Hansel of Film 2012.
Kathy was 200 miles away, across various firths and stretches of the North Sea, so we conducted the interview using Skype – a 1st for I Am Do Filmmaker (Kathy sounds way better than I do, I need to fix that in the future!).
She’s full of enthusiasm for this very imaginative scheme, and she’s keen for North East Scotland-based filmmakers (and others around the UK) to submit shorts, of 5mins or less, for consideration for selection in the high profile film festival.
You’ll find more details about the festival and how to enter at the website (see below) and by listening to the podcast. Bottom line: You’ve got until 18th May to submit a film or make one and get it in to the festival. After that, a selection is made for the ones that will be shown at local cinemas.
Don’t miss out – get in there!!!
