Stu Hamilton and Liam Johnston of Man Alive Studios in Dundee, and Kyle Titterton, a filmmaker and animator in Fife, are the main characters in a comedy about enthusiasm, good luck and positive mental attitude overcoming pessimism, bad luck and doubt.
The first two episodes were written and directed by Stu and Liam and the third episode, due out soon, was co-written with Kyle. The three also play the main characters in the series, which they say is influenced by The Office, Friends and Arrested Development.
Stu and Liam run real life video production company Man Alive Studios and bring their production skills to the mix, along with clever writing, good acting, and good visual and speech gags.
In the interview, Stu and Liam (I booked the interview at too short notice for Kyle Titterton to attend) discuss their writing process, building character, working with local filmmakers and some tech, too.
